My holiday in Amsterdam

Hello Internet!

I am really sorry that it has been more than a week since my last post; it is because I went on a little holiday with my family to Amsterdam for a few days. It was so amazing and I have wanted to go there for so long. The photos are only some of the many pictures I took and I tried to include photos from everywhere that I went to. However, there were some places where I was not allowed to take photos or the photos I did take were not good quality. Even so, it was a really fun holiday and nice to tale a break.

We visited so many places, such as Anne Frank's house, the Wright's museum and a church in the roof of someone's house. The Handbag museum was also very interesting, as was the Van Gough museum. I also found the bench used in 'The Fault in our Stars', a Nutelleria and a Forever 21, which were all so cool! There were pancakes, muffins and bikes literally everywhere and we also went on a canal cruise (sounds very exquisite). I have never been somewhere like Amsterdam and I truly recommend going. Amsterdam is a unique place like no other, where every single thing is pretty and you wish you could stay there forever.

Anyway, I shall be back again soon for another post. I hope that you enjoyed this blog. Bye for now!

Chocolate and orange fudge squares

Hello Internet!

It has been a while now since I did a 'DIY' post so I thought that I would teach you guys how to make chocolate and orange fudge squares. They are quick and easy to make, and also turn out delicious!

Ingredients

200g plain chocolate, broken into squares

200g dark muscovado sugar
3 eggs, separated
140g plain flour
175g butter (plus extra for greasing)
1 tsp vanilla extract
zest 1 orange

Method

Step 1. Set the oven to 180C/gas 4. Line and butter the baking tray.

Step 2. Put the sugar, chocolate and butter into a pan, and gently heat for around 5 minutes. Make sure that you stir until both the butter and chocolate have melted. Leave to cool for 10 minutes.

Step 3. Then beat in the flour, egg yolks, vanilla and orange vest.

Step 4. Put the egg whites into a separate bowl and whisk until they stand up in 'peaks'. Next stir
¼ of the whites into the chocolatey mixture we previously just made.

Step 5. Pour the mixture into a baking tray and bake for 25 minutes, or until it has evenly risen. Wait to cool and cut into squares. Then enjoy!

And there you are. These are delicious and I love chocolate and orange so much! I hope that you enjoyed this blog. Bye for now!
